Gynecological, Well-Woman and Preventive Health Care
The Council oversees a health care network that ensures accessible, affordable health care to uninsured low-income women and those lacking sufficient health insurance. Health care offered through the network includes full gynecological medical exams; breast and cervical cancer screening; screening for diabetes, anemia, and high blood pressure; sexually transmitted disease and infection testing; contraceptive information, education and supplies; HIV/AIDS education and prevention; genetic screening and referral; and preconceptional screening and education.
