Genetics and Preconceptional Health Screening

Concerned that a family illness can be passed down?
Need more information about how the screening tests that are done during pregnancy affect you and your unborn baby?
Services for those at risk of developing a genetic condition or giving birth to a child with one.
Services are offered region-wide to low-income and include:
- Genetic Screening (including personal and medical history) – Screening and education to help anyone concerned about a genetic risk make informed reproductive medical decisions.
- Preconceptional Screening – By completing a health screening form, your potential genetic risks can be determined and any concerns relieved. Educational materials, referrals and counseling iyoue
Screening is offered through selected family planning clinics and Tapestry of Health sites.
