HealthyWoman Program

Eligibility Requirements

Keeping mid-life women healthy and in touch with health care A program for low to moderate income, uninsured women, primarily ages 50 to 64. The program assures the following for eligible women:

• Pap Smear
• Mammogram
• Breast and Cervical Cancer Education
• Follow-up medical care, as appropriate

Eligibility: Women are eligible for the program if their pre-tax household income is at or below 250% of the federal poverty annual guidelines. They must also be uninsured or underinsured. Underinsured means that women with health insurance may be eligible if their insurance does not cover breast or cervical cancer screening offered by the HealthyWoman Program, or if they are financially unable to pay any required deductible or co-payment.

Funds from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, through a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, support the Healthy Woman Project.
